About the team:

The Technology Planning and Cooperation Department promotes strategic innovation across all of Huawei Canada. Working with fellow experts, the focus is researching new and upcoming areas of technology as well as strategic planning to help achieve long term vision of Huawei. This department offers a unique opportunity to leverage both technical and business skills.

About the job:

Develop insights and thought leadership through in-depth study and analysis, participating in industrial and academic events and forums, as well asinternal technology and strategy discussions.

As a key individual contributor, you are responsible for exploring and defining the technology landscape, trends and frontiers that will have significant impact to the industry and Huawei’s business in mid-term and long-term.

Drive technology strategy and technology development charters to contribute to company’s technology competitiveness and readiness in the future.

Develop research directions and topics to advance state of art knowledge and insights on subject matters.

The base salary for this position ranges from $121,000 to $230,000 depending on education, experience and demonstrated expertise.

About the ideal candidate:

10+ years of experience with strong technology curiosity.

A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Proficient in studying state-of-the-art research work and developing new ideas.

Deep knowledge of high performance AI computing microarchitecture, domain-specific acceleration, computer system architecture, parallel/multithreaded processing methods, high-performance computing, future data center infrastructure, data science and engineering.

Driven, passion for technology and innovation, self-starter.
