Job description

Our team has an immediate permanent opening for a Staff Researcher.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop insights and thought leadership through in-depth study and analysis, participating in industrial and academic events and forums, as well asinternal technology and strategy discussions.
  • As a key individual contributor, you are responsible for exploring and defining the technology landscape, trends and frontiers that will have significant impact to the industry and Huawei’s business in mid-term and long-term.
  • Drive technology strategy and technology development charters to contribute to company’s technology competitiveness and readiness in the future.
  • Develop research directions and topics to advance state of art knowledge and insights on subject matters.
The base salary for this position ranges from $121,000 to $230,000 depending on education, experience and demonstrated expertise.

What you'll bring to the team:

  • 10+ years of experience with strong technology curiosity.
  • A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in studying state-of-the-art research work and developing new ideas.
  • Deep knowledge of high performance AI computing microarchitecture, domain-specific acceleration, computer system architecture, parallel/multithreaded processing methods, high-performance computing, future data center infrastructure, data science and engineering.
  • Driven, passion for technology and innovation, self-starter.
