Pharmacy Inpt Ops Director

Job Summary:

This position will support adult inpatient pharmacy operations for an expansion of Vanderbilt University Hospital.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Review drug orders and/or prescriptions to ensure the safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medications.
  2. Provide outstanding patient care by optimizing medication preparation and resolving medication-related problems.
  3. Prepare and dispense medications, provide drug information and manage medication therapy in accordance with regulations and hospital policy.
  4. Supervise activities of support personnel and verify the accuracy of medications prepared prior to dispensing.
  5. The responsibilities listed are a general overview and additional duties may be assigned.
  6. Technical capabilities include proficiency in pharmaceutical computer applications, drug preparation, dispensing, distribution, medication management, and mentoring & coaching.
