Job description

Position Summary: The Staff Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations. Provides patient care tailored to each individual based on feedback received during consultations or file reviews.

What you'll do:
  1. Ensure excellent patient experience and assist in locating merchandise on the sales floor.
  2. Establish and develop strong working relationships with the Professional Services District Manager and other stakeholders.
  3. Accept prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals.
  4. Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely, and counsel patients on pharmaceutical products.
  5. Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
  6. Follow Walmart's SOPs and best practices.
  7. Operate pharmacy equipment (register, computer systems, etc.) and maintain patient privacy in compliance with provincial regulations.
  8. Provide eligible services such as medication reviews and injections to meet patient needs.
  9. Keep the pharmacy open and operational during posted hours.
  10. Assist in executing the business action plan with the Pharmacy Manager to meet corporate goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Age: 16 or older
  • License: Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
