This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for receiving, preparing and delivering Rx accurately and timely. Ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet patient’s needs, and counsel with appropriate documentation to all patients. Provide friendly, positive, and pro-active interaction with all internal and external customers as well create awareness and educate customers through public relations.

What you'll do
  1. Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients.
  2. Ensure medication and over the counter supplements inventory levels are adequate to meet patients’ needs.
  3. Counsel patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and pro-active interaction.
  4. Create awareness and educate customers through public relations (public health days, clinics, etc.).
  5. Administer Vaccinations and other activities as legislated by the Pharmacist Scope of Practice Program (Point-of-Care testing, Prescription Modification and Advancement, Minor Ailments, etc.).
  6. Provide Pharmaceutical Professional Services such as Medication Reviews.
  7. Provide timely and positive resolution to patient’s needs and Doctor’s requests/issues.
  8. Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary).
  9. Provide on-going training for all new and existing Pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, assistants, students, IPG’s).
What you’ll need:
  1. Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy, and a Class A Pharmacist, Ontario.
  2. Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
  3. Excellent leadership and performance management skills required.
  4. Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills including the experience formulating and executing action plans.
  7. Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of HealthWatch Pharmacy computer system.
