The shift pattern for this post is Monday- Friday 0800-1800x2, 0800-1730x2
The NVACH are delighted to announce we are looking for two enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our peri-operative team. We are currently expanding our workforce to support an increase in services provided and Theatre lists.
We are a busy and friendly unit located at the centre of the south side. We provide a number of services including Gynaecology, Urology, Orthopaedics, Pain, ENT, General Surgery, Ophthalmics and Dental across 8 theatres and an admission/discharge ward and inpatient facility. We operate an efficient and fast paced service that delivers the highest quality care to service users with increasingly complex needs whilst also expanding capacity, aligning with the British Association of Day Surgery (BADS).

The successful candidates will work across Urology, Plastics, General and cardiology as a scrub practitioner and will lead in setting, implementing and evaluating standards of nursing practice to deliver person centred care. The post holder will be responsible for supervising registered and non-registered staff in delivering the highest standards for our service users, undertaking the day to day management of theatre lists and responsible for patient safety. You will be expected to participate in Turas PDP reviews, supporting and educating learners in the department, quality improvement and audit, basic attendance management tasks and to be involved in the recruitment process.
The successful candidates will have a minimum of 3 years post registration experience and be able to demonstrate leadership skills. You will work under your own initiative and have excellent communication, problem solving and team working qualities. You will be able to work under pressure and maintain a professional attitude whilst also having the ability to support and motivate those around you.
It is desirable but not essential for the post holder to be duel-trained and support other services as the need arises in Anaesthetics/PACU. You will work off site within NHSGGC south sector to meet the demands of the service.
