Job summary

Infineon Technologies in Ottawa is seeking a Staff IC Product Engineer to drive test planning, bench-level testing, and cross-domain characterization across ICs and subsystems. You will collaborate with IC design and test teams to refine test plans and enable manufacturability.

The role requires hands-on experience in product characterization, test development, and failure analysis within a semiconductor environment, with exposure to post-silicon to production lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 3–5 years in semiconductors
• Strong data analytics for power semiconductors
• Strong test development skills and hardware/software debug needs
• Yield analysis and 6-sigma quality practices are assets
• Experience across product/test engineering, failure analysis, design, yield improvement
• Hands-on product characterization methodologies and measurement techniques
• Semiconductor product life cycle from post-silicon bring-up to production and sustenance

Your profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (power electronics, semiconductor development) or a related discipline, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a semiconductor company
• Strong data analytical skills in the evaluation and characterization of power semiconductors
• Strong test development skills along with the ability to define hardware/software needs for debug
• Yield analysis and circuit debug experience with 6-sigma quality practices is an asset
• Experience working with a variety of technical projects that relate to product and test engineering, failure analysis, design, and yield improvement
• Demonstrated experience with hands-on product characterization methodologies (planning, understanding of measurement techniques and use of lab equipment)
• Detailed understanding of semiconductor product life cycle from post-silicon bring-up, device characterization, qualification, pre-production support, release to volume production and product sustenance

• Must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
