Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Ottawa is seeking a Staff IC Product Engineer to merge creativity with technical expertise and help shape the future of power electronics, ICs, and test engineering. You will work with IC design and test teams to create and review test plans, perform bench-level testing and 360-degree characterization, and support ATE production test limits.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 3–5 years in semiconductors and hands-on

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a semiconductor company.
  • Strong data analytical skills for evaluation and characterization of power semiconductors.
  • Hands-on product characterization methodologies and lab measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Work with IC design and test teams to create and review test plans, including DFT/DFQ considerations.
  • Bench-level testing, characterization, and debug of full ICs and IC subsystems.
  • 360-degree characterization and cross-domain correlations; ATE to bench correlation and test limits.
  • ATE test-data analysis and interpretation; test-program development support.

Key responsibilities in your new role
  • Work with IC design and test teams to create and review test plans, including providing recommendations for DFT & DFQ, test & debug visibility, manufacturability plan, etc
  • Bench-level testing, characterization, and debug of full ICs and ICsub-systems
  • 360 deg characterization: ensure test coverage and cross-domain-correlations
  • ATE to bench correlation and establishment of ATE production test limits
  • ATE test-data analysis and interpretation
  • Test-Program development support
Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (power electronics, semiconductor development) or a related discipline, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a semiconductor company
  • Strong data analytical skills in the evaluation and characterization of power semiconductors
  • Strong test development skills along with the ability to define hardware/software needs for debug
  • Yield analysis and circuit debug experience with 6-sigma quality practices is an asset
  • Experience working with a variety of technical projects that relate to product and test engineering, failure analysis, design, and yield improvement
  • Demonstrated experience with hands-on product characterization methodologies (planning, understanding of measurement techniques and use of lab equipment)
  • Detailed understanding of semiconductor product life cycle from post-silicon bring-up, device characterization, qualification, pre-production support, release to volume production and product sustenance

Salary pay information
  • Location Indicative salary range Ottawa, Canada CA$98,080 – CA$143,860
  • In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
