Our mission is to deliver the best treatment for atrial fibrillation. We have created The Globe Pulsed Field System, a product distinguished by its unique features and customer value. We are collaborating with key opinion leaders who are already using our system to tell our story.

Having completed our pivotal clinical study, we are now focusing on regulatory approvals and launching our product. This milestone marks a significant step in bringing this innovative technology to patients.

We are seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to design the next generation of high-quality medical devices. This role offers hands-on experience in developing and commercializing complex medical devices, focusing on the Globe Pulsed Field System.

Please note, this position is hybrid, based in Burnaby, BC.

Meaningful work you will be a part of

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Analog and digital circuit design, including documentation, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
  2. Designing, developing, and testing analog circuits and systems for high performance and reliability.
  3. Complex system debugging (e.g., multi-board systems with processors, firmware, RF, communication links).
  4. Testing prototypes of custom electronics.
  5. Supporting design transfer to manufacturing and service.
  6. Investigating technical failures to determine root causes.
  7. Mentoring junior team members and co-op students.
What you bring to the team

Our team is innovative, passionate, and collaborative. To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical or electronics engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in electronics engineering.
  • Proficiency with electronics CAD tools, preferably Altium Designer.
  • Experience mentoring less experienced engineers.
  • Board-level analog and digital circuit design experience.
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Experience with safety and EMC standards.
  • Experience interfacing with FPGA designs.
  • Knowledge of IEC 60601 standard.
  • Strong technical expertise and leadership in complex projects.
  • Proficiency with test and measurement equipment.
  • High productivity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn quickly.
Compensation

The total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) for this role is listed as CAD $117,000 – $139,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. This includes base salary and RRSP contribution, with additional benefits such as stock options, medical and dental coverage, flexible work arrangements, and more.
