Job summary

Solink is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Data Infrastructure team to help scale our data platform. You’ll own backend and full-stack components, mentor engineers, and shape architecture for 10M+ events per day.

This remote Canada role offers collaboration with cross-functional teams, a strong emphasis on reliability, and opportunities to drive performance, security, and efficiency across integrations and data pipelines.

Qualifications

5+ years of software development experience with a CS/Engineering degree.
Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, especially Elasticsearch or DynamoDB.
Strong full-stack capabilities with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
Proven ability to design scalable backend systems and data pipelines.
Experience with AWS services and serverless architectures.

Responsibilities

Build scalable backend and data infrastructure supporting high volumes and real-time events.
Contribute to backend and frontend development using Node.js, React, and Serverless frameworks.
Set technical direction for data pipelines and integrations, documenting standards.
Collaborate with architects, R&D, and cross-functional teams to implement capabilities.
Lead design/planning meetings with product and engineering stakeholders.
Use Jira to manage and prioritize work and deliverables.
Troubleshoot and support product teams with technical explanations.
Research new technologies to improve performance, maintainability, and scalability.
Mentor engineers and lead by example in code reviews.
