Qualifications

  • 7+ years of infrastructure automation and feature development.
  • Strong experience with AWS and Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Experience with GitOps using FluxCD and ArgoCD.
  • Proficient in IaC tools: Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation; CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Drive large-scale technical and architecture discussions.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and compliance teams throughout design, development and operations lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support to developers using platform services.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure code with well-factored and tested code.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to improve reliability and speed; reduce change lead time.
  • Improve EKS/ECS-based infrastructure for security, agility, and team enablement.
  • Mentor team and participate in on-call rotations.

Your role Corpay is looking to hire a Staff CloudOps Developer within our PayByPhone division. This position falls under our International Fleet line of business and is located in Vancouver, BC. As a Senior Cloud Operations Developer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage our infrastructure and deployment pipelines while providing technical guidance and mentorship to the team. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring our systems' reliability, scalability, and security. You are a self-starter with an innovative mindset that motivates you to keep up with the latest technologies and drives you to do great work, period. As a Staff CloudOps Developer, you will be expected to work out of our office in Vancouver, BC.

What you'll be doing
  • Contributing to and driving large-scale technical and architecture discussions.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders such as development, security engineering, and compliance teams throughout the design, development, and operations lifecycle.
  • Providing technical support to developers who are using platform services.
  • Developing and maintaining infrastructure code, producing a high standard of well-factored and tested code
  • Building and managing CI/CD pipelines, constantly improve their reliability and speed, and reduce change lead time.
  • Improving our container (EKS/ECS)-based infrastructure to respond to company needs and demands for platform agility, security, and development teams' enablement.
  • Improving the team's development process, technical practices, and coding standards.
  • Developing tools to enhance and support Developer Productivity.
  • Championing automation of manual processes and reduce operational overhead
  • Making code review suggestions, responding constructively and learning from feedback
  • Participating in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours support to critical infrastructure.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 7+ years' of industry experience where you have developed several significant feature sets and infrastructure automation projects from start to finish
  • Strong hands-on experience with a cloud provider, ideally AWS
  • Recent hands-on experience with EKS or Kubernetes for container orchestration, cluster management, and microservices deployment.
  • Recent experience with GitOps using FluxCD.
  • ArgoCD.
  • Recent hands-on Experience with DevOps tools like VCS (GitHub, GitLab), Ansible, Artifactory, Synk, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, Cloud Formation), etc.
  • Experience building CICD pipelines and with at least one programming language to deliver a production backend service
  • Strong fundamentals in Networking, infrastructure, Linux and Windows.
  • Life-long learner and self-starter, including the ability to quickly become productive in an unfamiliar technology or codebase.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • A keen interest and proven experience in improving team standards and process.
  • Mentoring experience in your area of expertise

An estimate of the minimum and maximum salary range is CAD 140,000 -$190,000.
