Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Technical Expert, Engineering for Stability & Control in Dorval, QC. You will contribute to designing, developing and testing Fly-by-Wire flight control laws for next-generation aircraft and support airworthiness compliance.

You should hold a degree in Aerospace Engineering with at least 12 years of relevant experience, strong flight dynamics knowledge, and proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Windows/UNIX, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, master’s or PhD in Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in aircraft stability and control.
• Strong understanding of flight dynamics and aerodynamics.
• Familiar with airworthiness regulations (asset).
• Good programming skills.
• Proficiency with Windows and UNIX; MATLAB/Simulink; MS Office.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess stability and control characteristics of aircraft.
• Prepare and support wind tunnel testing.
• Plan and support flight test and simulations with analyses and documentation.
• Analyze and process simulation and flight test data.
• Plan and conduct desktop or pilot-in-the-loop simulations for certification or investigations.
• Write and review flight characteristic reports showing regulatory compliance.
• Support development and modification of flight simulation models.
