2025 / 26 INTERNAL / EXTERNAL POSTING Childcare Manager Full Time (40 Hours per week)

St. James Catholic School is located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. The school enrolls approximately 160 students from Kindergarten to Grade Seven. For the 2025 - 2026 school year, St. James School is seeking a qualified Childcare Manager for a full-time position (40 hours/week) in their Daycare / Preschool Program commencing July 1, 2025.

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting this programming and must possess a valid Early Childhood Educator or Assistant license, a valid First Aid certificate, and provide a satisfactory Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check. Additional documentation may be requested.

Preference will be given to candidates who:

  • Share in the Catholic faith and actively participate in the life of their parish
  • Nurture healthy relationships with children, families, and personnel
  • Develop and implement quality childcare programming based on best practices and pedagogy that support the spiritual, physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Share a collaborative approach to team building
  • Possess the knowledge and ability to administer government programs on childcare centres and early childhood educators
  • Promote relationships within the school and parish community
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community services

  • A Confidential Pastoral Reference Form, partially completed by the applicant, before sharing it with the Catholic pastor for completion and submission to CISKD.
