Job description

STV is seeking an SSPC Lead Supervisor to join our Environmental group at our New York City office. We have a thriving AEC practice with a close-knit, team-oriented group that is growing rapidly. Due to our success, we need a Lead Supervisor to assist with the delivery of our current extensive backlog of work.

Position Details

MTA Title - Lead-Based Paint SSPC C3 Supervisor

STV Title - Environmental Scientist

This role emphasizes field work, SSPC C3 Lead Supervision, asbestos and lead survey, asbestos and lead monitoring, with opportunities for professional and personal development. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a solid technical foundation, capable of working independently. Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 2+ years of asbestos and lead experience.
• Perform lead inspections, abatement oversight, air sampling, and project monitoring.
• Prepare abatement daily logs, chain of custody, photo logs, and reports.
• Strong technical inclination, self-motivated, with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections during Lead Disturbance Activities as per MTA NYCT specifications.
• Perform asbestos and lead surveys and inspections.
• Conduct asbestos and lead air sampling and project monitoring.
• Interact with engineers, architects, and contractors.
• Prepare reports, logs, and documentation.
• Be flexible and available for night and weekend work.

Qualifications

• SSPC C3 Lead Supervisor certification.
• Relevant experience with NYSDOL asbestos regulations and OSHA lead standards.
• Experience with MTA - NYCT projects.
• NYSDOL certifications for asbestos inspection, air sampling, and project monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Valid New York State Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Track training for NYCT, LIRR, MNR, SIRTOA.
• Experience with NY State agencies, DASNY, and NYCHA.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $74,112.66 - $98,816.88
