A leading educational institution in Nova Scotia is seeking a dedicated School Counsellor to support student achievement and well-being. The successful candidate will possess valid teaching certification and a Master's in Counselling, alongside a strong foundation in classroom management and inclusive teaching strategies. With a primary focus on enhancing the educational experience through effective counseling practices, this role offers the opportunity to impact student success significantly.

The Strait Regional Centre for Education (SRCE), established on April 1, 2018, is part of the Nova Scotia public education system. It focuses on supporting student learning, achievement, well-being, and overall success. With approximately 1,050 employees, SRCE manages 20 schools with about 5,981 students and offers pre-primary programs at 14 locations attended by around 375 children. Located in northeastern Nova Scotia, SRCE's jurisdiction covers the counties of Antigonish, Guysborough, Inverness, and Richmond, an area of roughly 11,000 square kilometers with a population of 53,742 (Census 2021).
