We’re seeking a Senior Workday Specialist to join our Talent Operations, Systems, and Insights team. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and efficient operation of Workday's Absence, Payroll, and Time Tracking modules. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert, responsible for system configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, process improvement, and deploying new features to support Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking operations for our global workforce.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Contribute to day-to-day Workday strategy, operations, and support across different modules. Act as the subject matter expert for Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
  • Manage system security roles and permissions for the Absence, Payroll, and Time Tracking modules.
  • Partner with various stakeholders in the People and Culture team to gather business requirements and develop technical solutions to support their programs.
  • Collaborate with regional payroll representatives to provide technical expertise and support for payroll operations.
  • Maintain the Absence and Time Off configuration for all global locations and configure new Absence and Time Off plans for new and existing countries.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in time tracking, absence management, and payroll to enhance the employee experience, working closely with stakeholders to optimize Workday functionality.

What you need to bring:

We’re looking for a candidate with experience in:

  • At least 4 years of technical experience working with Workday, focusing on Absence, Payroll, and/or Time Tracking modules.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and best practices, supporting payroll cycles in Canada and the United States.
  • Deep knowledge of absence policy management across multiple countries.
  • Expertise in configuring custom reports and handling large data sets.
  • Experience maintaining data integrity across enterprise HR systems and conducting audits.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and HR systems.

Preferred but not required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience as an HR Business Analyst.
  • HR systems implementation experience.
