We're looking for a curious, research-driven and testing-oriented Senior UX Designer to craft fast and intuitive digital sportsbook player experiences for a growing Toronto-based iGaming company. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping the UX strategy, simplifying complex gaming interactions, and working cross-functionally with developers, product managers, and customer support teams to bring thoughtful features to life.

This role is ideal for a systems thinker who understands the value of speed, reusability, and visual consistency, and who thrives on collaborative problem-solving in a fast-paced, feedback-driven environment.

About the team :

With a platform built and funded by a quantitative sports betting fund over six years ago, their goal is now to modernize the art of bookmaking, beginning with helping one of the sharpest brands in the world better manage their sports betting risk. The company ethos revolves around wearing multiple hats, finding practical solutions to problems, and embracing the basics to build a strong foundation.

  • 120k-$140k CAD annual base salary (commensurate with experience)

  • Toronto-based preferred and able to work in-office a few days a week is ideal (relocation assistance also available)

  • Experienced leadership with deep roots and proven success across the iGaming and eSports landscape

Key Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end responsive user experiences for sportsbook and iGaming products.
  • Build and manage scalable Figma Component Libraries , using Variables to connect components to the correct color tokens and type styles.
  • Leverage Auto Layout for responsiveness across all screen sizes.
  • Conduct competitive analysis, replicate and improve user journeys, and simplify noisy or complex gaming flows .
  • Prioritize usability and experience design over pixel-perfection in UI.
  • Use pre-built design systems such as ShadCN, Tailwind , and customize them as needed to speed up delivery and reduce redundancy.
  • Identify components worth building from scratch when necessary for custom functionality.
  • Collaborate with Customer Support to compile and synthesize user feedback in FigJam or similar platforms for quick iteration.
  • Ship designs quickly, gather real-world feedback, and continuously iterate on features and flows.
  • Treat Project Managers as core thought partners, sharing ownership of problem-solving and feature direction.
  • Capture and maintain visual Information Architecture diagrams in Figma to document system and feature flows.
  • Proactively align stakeholders , communicate rationale clearly, advocate for your beliefs, and adapt to feedback with open-mindedness and humility.

Requirements

  • Toronto-based is ideal, able to work in-office a few days a week (downtown)
  • 5+ years of experience in UX / Product Design , ideally with a focus in sports betting, casino games, and interactive entertainment .
  • Expert-level skills in Figma , with strong experience building reusable components, styles, tokens, and libraries .
  • Deep familiarity with responsive design , Auto Layout , and design systems .
  • Comfortable inspecting front-end code and communicating with developers using basic HTML / CSS knowledge.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced product environment , with quick feedback loops and iterative development cycles.
  • A track record of simplifying complex user journeys without sacrificing functionality or regulatory compliance.
  • Confident with UX heuristics , wireframing, prototyping, and running user testing or validation loops.
  • Familiarity with Tailwind CSS , ShadCN , or similar modern component libraries.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong sense of empathy and openness to constructive critique.
  • Able to think in systems and flows , and clearly articulate your rationale and vision.

  • Background or personal interest in sports betting or casino gaming .
  • Experience with design tokens , multi-brand theming , or internationalization / localization .
