Job description

Sr. UX designer

Are you passionate about the chance to bring your experience to a world-class company that is market-leading for both content and technology? If yes, we’re looking for you.

Join our team! As a Sr. UX designer you’ll work closely with product managers, content strategists, UI designers, developers, and researchers to create an elegant customer experience. As a creator of bar-raising experiences, you inherently look for ways to remove the difficult and make complex experiences feel easy, intuitive and have a seamless flow that helps our customers feel empowered. You confidently make — and defend decisions while creating user-centered online experiences in an agile environment.

About the Role

As a Sr. UX Designer, you will:

  1. Create and build: Rapidly iterate through journey maps, storyboards, user flows, sketches, wireframes, and other design artifacts to effectively communicate interaction and a dynamic content strategy. Have deep experience with responsive UI design methodology and processes (user-centered and iterative design). Create and maintain prototypes for UX research testing with industry-leading tools.
  2. Be part of a collaborative team: Work closely with the UX Designers, Content Strategists, and UX Researchers in a collaborative team-oriented environment to create new products, features, and functionality. Advocate for the user’s needs while developing features that align to the needs of the user.
  3. Be an Effective Communicator: Share ideas, participate in peer-reviews, and exhibit strong listening skills. You justify and articulate design decisions during design reviews. You lead brainstorming and sketching sessions with product teams.
  4. Be Curious & Innovative: Continuously update yourself by learning and leveraging new technologies and best practices within the field of user experience in order to enhance our practices. Turn user research and usability feedback into easy-to-use solutions. Gather, analyze, and synthesize UX needs for complex product and user requirements.

About You

You’re a fit for this role if you have:

  1. 5-8 years design experience creating simple solutions for complex challenges
  2. Experience in responsive design with case studies in your portfolio
  3. Experience in complex application design
  4. Experience with industry-leading prototyping tools
  5. Strong portfolio of work that illustrates your process, your level of craft, and the results you have driven
  6. Familiarity with Agile development
  7. Confidence in working with a strong, passionate, fast-paced team environment
  8. Strong time-management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
  9. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  11. BA/BS in graphic design, fine art, visual communications, HCI or related field (or equivalent industry training / experience)
  12. Familiarity with: Web standards (W3C and 508) / best practices for interaction design and Accessibility
