What to expect

• Join a specialized team, supporting the Commercial Insurance team in handling portfolio transfers.
• Underwrite moderate to complex new business, moving across files within the parameters of transfer agreements and assigned underwriting authority.
• Underwrite renewals and endorsements, within the parameters of transfer agreements and assigned underwriting authority.
• Clearly articulate the terms and conditions of risk acceptance with brokers in writing and over the phone.
• Develop and maintain positive broker relations.

What you bring

• University degree or a college diploma or a completed CIP designation.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Commercial Insurance underwriting, mid-market complexity and property/liability experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer literacy, experience with Microsoft Office and ServiceNow Extreme preferred.
• Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, with both customers and co-workers.
• Team player who performs well in a busy environment and remains calm under pressure.

Salary range is: $58,100 - $106,900.
