Senior Training Coordinator : Quebec, Canada

Vertex Technologies Canada Inc. (VTCI) is looking for a Training Coordinator to support learning programs and events. The person who fills this position is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all logistics support for learning events supported by VTCI. The ideal candidate for this position will build rapport with team members and customers quickly and easily, be flexible / adapt to changing business needs, and possess excellent business communication skills.

Additionally, a successful candidate will possess exemplary attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.

Summary

Experienced role focused on high-quality execution, continuous improvement, and mentorship. Takes ownership of complex coordination needs and plays a proactive role in strategic training support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage coordination of high-priority or complex training programs with minimal supervision.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and optimize standard work processes across projects.
  • Serve as primary liaison for key stakeholders and suppliers for issue resolution and process alignment.
  • Analyze and present evaluation and attendance data to support decision-making.
  • Train junior coordinators and share best practices across the team.
  • Champion innovation in training delivery methods or tools (, LMS use, microlearning logistics).
  • Take a lead role in significant cross-unit initiatives or pilot programs.
  • Ensure compliance and maintain strong supplier performance.

Builds trusted relationships with business units and acts as a go-to expert within the team.

Required Skills
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in training coordination, project support, or similar operational roles.
  • Capacité démontrée à gérer de manière autonome des projets de formation complexes.
  • Solides compétences en optimisation des processus et amélioration continue des activités de coordination.
  • Maîtrise avancée de la suite Microsoft Office (notamment Excel pour l’analyse de données et la production de rapports).
  • Excellentes compétences en communication en français et en anglais, à l’oral comme à l’écrit, et capacité à interagir avec des parties prenantes de haut niveau.
  • Capacité éprouvée à analyser et interpréter les données de formation, en tirer des conclusions et présenter les résultats.
  • Sens aigu du service client et aptitude à gérer les relations interpersonnelles
  • Compétence à prioriser et gérer plusieurs livrables d’envergure dans des délais serrés.
  • Expérience dans le mentorat de collègues juniors et la standardisation des pratiques de coordination.
Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.

Desired Skills
  • Previous experience planning events (ideally training events) for internal and / or external customers
  • Experience with business Learning Management Systems
  • Ability to identify areas for continuous improvement in the work environment and processes
  • Experience training customers to use applications or tools, and / or other facilitation experience
Note

This is an on-site position, with possibility of hybrid work based on needs

Overtime and work on weekends / evenings may be required for class set up / tear down and other event support
