The Role

Addepar Design shapes wealth managers’ digital experiences. By designing and delivering intuitive, easy-to-use products, we help wealth managers grow their businesses and provide best-in-class services to their clients. In this role, you'll shape the future of help and training at Addepar, reimagining how clients and employees learn about our products and services. You'll craft the foundational content that ensures every new user feels immediately welcome, quickly understands our products, and gains the confidence to begin their journey toward expertise. You'll lead complex documentation projects from strategy to execution. This includes developing content for comprehensive learning paths and advanced training courses optimized for future AI-driven experiences.

You'll work with Product, Support, and Services teams to create and refine a library of guides, how-to articles, and more. You’ll research, author, edit, proofread, format, and publish the content following Addepar’s style guidelines.

Our Help Center is in an exciting growth stage, undergoing a redesign and scaling up to support Addepar’s multi-product platform. Our ideal candidate is a highly experienced technical writer and editor with a keen eye for detail and a proven track record of leading successful documentation initiatives. You’re eager to join our team, roll up your sleeves, and do great work.

You’ll report to the Content Design Manager for the Help Center.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the strategy and execution for critical documentation initiatives
  • Develop a deep understanding of our users, products, and challenges with learning the platform
  • Create comprehensive help articles, guides, and interactive training modules
  • Implement strategic improvements for content organization and information architecture, proactively identifying and championing solutions for documentation needs
  • Act as a primary content liaison and strategic partner for cross-functional teams
  • Facilitate and lead highly productive working sessions and content reviews
  • Mentor and guide junior technical writers
  • Establish and refine best practices for content development and workflows
  • Spearhead audits and content optimization initiatives
  • Analyze content engagement and user feedback to inform strategy
  • Champion the evolution of Addepar's self-guided learning experience
  • Expertly utilize and onboard others to our design and content management tools
Who You Are
  • 4+ years of technical writing experience
  • An inspiring portfolio that showcases how you approach help content. Must include writing samples
  • Fantastic writing (American English), editing, and proofreading skills
  • Adept at leveraging AI tools and techniques to streamline content creation, enhance clarity, and deliver unparalleled user experiences
  • Proficient using design systems and editorial style guides
  • Familiar with Figma, Zendesk, Confluence, and Jira
  • Experience working with or in a customer support organization is a huge plus
  • Able to work independently, communicating across multiple time zones
  • High emotional intelligence. People enjoy working with you!
