About you

You are professional with strong knowledge of GAAP, Financial Statement preparation, and internal controls. Knowledge in various areas of finance and accounting including ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, ASC 805 Business Combinations, ASC 842 Lease Accounting and general ledger accounting. Professional must also possess good writing and verbal skills. Active CPA or in the process of attaining their CPA license with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

The Sr. Technical Accounting Analyst will play a lead role in the monthly close and consolidation process with primary duties including month end close journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting, and compliance related work for Origence and subsidiaries.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Responsible for general ledger and month-end closing processes including (40%):
  2. Preparing journal entries and reconciling complex balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate reporting.
  3. Reviewing all intercompany transactions and account balances for appropriate elimination.
  4. Analyzing account information and activity to make recommendations and confirm allocations are accurate.
  5. Review contracts and prepare memorandums based on accounting guidance.
  6. Maintaining internal control documentation and operating procedures.
  7. Serve as the subject matter expert on technical accounting matters to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles including ASC 606, ASC 842 and ASC 805 (25%).
  8. Assist with forecasting, budgeting, reporting, annual financial statement audit, data analysis and other projects as determined.

The Ideal Candidate:

Education:

B. S. Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Experience:

  1. Active CPA License.
  2. General knowledge of GAAP.
  3. 3+ years of public accounting and SaaS technology industry experience.

Specialized Skills:

  1. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Must be detail oriented and have strong analytical skills.
  3. Must be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced professional environment.
  4. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis in Excel.
  5. Experience with Dynamics 365, Salesforce, or Power BI a plus.

The starting salary range for this full-time position is $99,400 - $124,300 per year. This base pay will take into consideration internal equity, candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge and experience among other factors. Origence maintains a highly competitive compensation program. Under company guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual bonus to provide an incentive to achieve targeted goals. Bonuses are awarded at company’s discretion on an individual basis.
