Job summary

TELUS Health in Montreal is seeking an experienced QA professional to join our team. You will analyze requirements, design test cases, and execute manual tests to ensure software quality across health-related solutions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with functional leads and developers, maintaining test suites, and communicating testing progress. Flexibility to work in-office, virtually or in a hybrid setup is provided. Intermediate English is required; French is a plus for the Quebec market.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in QA, including 2 years as a senior QA.

Responsibilities

• Apply structured testing techniques to develop positive and negative test cases
• Build manual test scripts by identifying expected results and test data
• Maintain the test suite up to date based on changes
• Prioritize test execution based on test case priority
• Execute manual test scripts, capture actual results and report defects
• Follow-up on resolution of defects and monitor progress
• Work closely and report testing progress to QA Leads
• Raise flags for major risks in terms of deadline or quality
• Carry out QA tasks per defined standards and procedures
• Meet deadlines by managing and prioritizing tasks
• Participate in test strategy and test plan definition
• Assess changes and identify regression test cases
• Propose solutions or workarounds to counteract problems
• Provide training and assist peers when needed
• Propose improvements to reduce time and costs

• Prioritize test execution based on priority assigned to test cases
• Execute manual test scripts, capture actual results and report defects
• Follow-up on resolution of defects within the established timeframe and perform
• Work closely and report testing progress to QA Leads
• Raise the flag when foreseeing major risks in terms of deadline or on the quality
• Carry out all QA related tasks as per the defined standards and procedures
• Meet deadlines by properly managing and prioritizing assigned tasks
• Participate in test strategy and test plan definition
• Assess impact of changes and identify corresponding test cases for regression testing
• Propose solutions or workarounds to counteract problems encountered
• Support and peer-review tasks of other QA resources less experimented
• Provide client support as required
• Provide training when required
• Propose solutions, find possible improvements to reduce work time and costs

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in QA, including 2 years as a senior QA
• Be able to put themselves in the shoes of our clients (understand what external customers require from a testing perspective)

Salary Range : $58,000 to $80,000 CAD Annual

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.

Intermediate knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its provincial scope.
