Now Hiring : Senior Structural Engineer (Direct Hire)

Full-Time | Direct Hire

Salary : $125,000–$150,000

About the Role :

Our client, a leading firm in telecom and infrastructure engineering, is seeking a skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Cambridge Ontario .This direct hire position offers a competitive salary, leadership opportunities, and the chance to work on essential structural projects across North America.

This position is onsite preferred , but a hybrid schedule may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

In this strategic role, you will lead the structural design and analysis of towers, poles, and related infrastructure. Ideal candidates will bring a background in civil or construction engineering , with experience in utility transmission structures preferred . Candidates with telecommunications structure experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead structural design and analysis for telecommunications towers, monopoles, guyed structures, and platforms using steel and FRP materials.
  • Serve as the technical lead on multi-disciplinary projects, supporting estimation, planning, and execution.
  • Perform advanced engineering calculations using structural software and finite element analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, including TIA and / or CSA standards.
  • Oversee structural design deliverables and coordinate with internal teams, clients, vendors, and fabricators.
  • Conduct and review site inspections, assessments, and field evaluations.
  • Prepare and review proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support development of team capabilities.
  • Help integrate computational design tools and streamline modeling workflows.
  • Collaborate with teams across North America to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Travel occasionally within the U.S. and Canada for site visits and client meetings.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (civil or construction engineering background preferred).
  • P. ENG orStructural Engineering Certified ( SE)
  • 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
  • Preferred background in utility transmission structures ; candidates with telecommunications structure experience will also be considered.
  • In-depth knowledge of TIA and / or CSA standards.
  • Proven experience designing self-support towers, monopoles, and guyed structures.
  • Strong understanding of dynamic loads, wind / ice loading, and structural codes.
  • Skilled in structural modeling and construction detailing.
  • Excellent communication skills with a client-focused mindset.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
  • Experience with light industrial or infrastructure projects is a plus.
