Job Summary

The Senior Specialist in Customer Communications and Events supports McKesson Canada's Retail Banner Group across Canada through developing and executing B2B communication strategies, working closely with internal stakeholders to craft strategic messaging that highlights innovation, partnership, and investment in Canada's largest independent pharmacy network.

As a senior contributor, you will lead content solutions to build awareness, drive engagement, and foster loyalty. The ideal candidate is customer-centric, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Location: 2300 Meadowvale Blvd, Mississauga, ON

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with at least two days on-site per week. Occasional travel within Canada may be required.

Responsibilities include:

Strategic Communications & Brand Stewardship

  • Serve as the primary contact for customer communications, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Develop and deliver clear external and internal communications.
  • Support newsletter creation and distribution.
  • Manage communication projects from planning to execution within scope, time, and budget.

Event Development & Execution

  • Lead and execute communication plans for banner events, engaging with business leaders as a strategic advisor.
  • Create promotional content for events, including agendas, invitations, and post-event communications.
  • Collaborate with logistics and cross-functional teams to ensure impactful member experiences.
  • Develop brand assets for onsite and social media promotion.
  • Provide onsite leadership and liaise with event teams and stakeholders.

Performance & Strategic Foresight

  • Measure, analyze, and report on communication performance, adjusting strategies as needed.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong partnerships with retail banner teams and cross-functional partners to ensure aligned and effective communications and events.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Event Management, or related field.
  • 7+ years in communication strategy development and leadership.
  • Experience in B2B communications, preferably in healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
  • Bilingual in English and French (written and verbal).
