The Role

We are seeking a Software Quality Engineer I with a BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, or Computer Science.

This is an opportunity to play a vital role in our cutting-edge transformation and to be a thought leader in the Quality space. A good understanding of software development practices, along with the ability to help create and execute testing for our market-leading products, is required.

Your Impact

• Understand product feature requirements, and develop and execute manual test cases to ensure coverage and quality.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency.
• Understand customer requirements, identify product defects creatively, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with a global Products organization, including Development, Quality, Product Management, and Documentation teams.

What You'll Need

• 2-4 years of experience in testing scientific and/or engineering software.
• Strong academic background in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Experience with or knowledge of software development methodologies is a plus.
• Experience in scripting and programming languages is a plus.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills in English.
• Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• Willingness to learn various technical or business specialties as needed.
