Amazon’s eCommerce Foundation (eCF) organization builds core components that drive the Amazon website and customer experience. Serving millions of page views and orders per day, we process petabytes of data from thousands of sources and support internal customers across AWS Redshift, EMR, Glue, LakeFormation, and SageMaker.

As a Sr. Software Development Engineer in Big Data Technologies, you’ll design and build scalable solutions from the ground up. You will advance Ray with AWS technologies, mentor junior engineers, and partner with sophisticated customers to deliver massive-scale computing features.
You will contribute to bleeding-edge open source projects in distributed computing, data processing, and machine learning. You’ll translate complex requirements into architecture and deliver high-quality systems on time while staying current with rapidly evolving technologies.
Day-to-day, you’ll scope problem spaces, design scalable solutions, lead critical-path implementations, and mentor junior engineers, all while influencing technical direction across partner teams.

Amazon offers a competitive total compensation package including a base salary, equity grants, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits. Base salary range: $150,700–$251,700/year (depending on experience)
