Sr Secret Cleared Security Advisor to join our cybersecurity team and support the Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) process for project deliverables

Our value public sector client is seeking a Senior Secret Cleared Security Advisor to join our cybersecurity team and support the Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) process for project deliverables. In this critical role, you will help ensure solutions meet security and compliance standards, driving efforts to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO).

Must-Haves :

  • Master proficiency in Cybersecurity Assessment and Security Compliance Assessment.
  • Strong understanding of Azure platform, resources, and security tools.
  • Proven expertise in Security Testing , including both automated and manual validation techniques.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have :

  • Familiarity with ITSG-33 controls and Canadian government SA&A processes.
  • Experience contributing to achieving ATO in highly regulated environments.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or Azure Security Engineer Associate are an asset.

Tasks include :

  • Lead and contribute to the SA&A process for delivering compliant IT solutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to collect and validate end-to-end responses on how each security control is implemented.
  • Navigate through application and infrastructure architectures , exploring security, operational, and infrastructure tools and configurations.
  • Analyze and collect relevant policies, procedures, and process documentation .
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in interpreting control requirements and evaluating control design effectiveness.
  • Facilitate discussions and provide input into key security and compliance decisions across teams.
  • Design, develop, and execute security control tests and validate their effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with internal security frameworks and industry standards.
