Job summary

A leading global snack food company is seeking a Regulatory Affairs professional in Toronto, Canada. The ideal candidate will implement regulatory strategies and ensure compliance with US FDA and Health Canada regulations. Responsibilities include managing the regulatory assurance for product labels and collaborating with diverse teams. You execute the regulatory affairs strategy for your respective categories and geographical area using your technical and regulatory expertise. You ensure the regulatory and policy compliance of our portfolio and ensure policies, regulatory programs and requirements are met.

How you will contribute

You will implement the regulatory affairs strategy and work with cross-functional teams to anticipate regulatory business risks and opportunities. In addition, you will provide regulatory affairs expertise for technical regulatory developments and help with responses to challenges and crisis management. In this role, you will ensure that ingredients, product composition, claims and labelling is in compliance with regulations and company policies, provide guidance to stakeholders on regulatory affairs, propose and implement business solutions in response to regulatory changes, and maintain and develop a strong knowledge of regulatory, scientific and nutrition risks and opportunities in your corresponding market.

What you need to know about this position:

  • Support for NA Biscuit Regu l atory Affairs including , Supporting and in some instances leading the day-to-day brand RA ownership, business programs across growth, innovation, renovations, productivity, and business continuity programs. Role is responsible for RA brand continuity and leading brand strategy and decision making.
  • Supports the management of the Oreo portfolio joint with project leader and would execute projects autonomously, as well as through others.
  • Responsible to provide technical expertise and leadership support to the NA Biscuit brand s for both the US and Canadian business teams, requiring a strong cross boarder NA mindset and knowledge of both US and Canadian regulations .
  • Strong organization and leadership, acting like an owner, proactively collaborating with business partners and regulatory colleagues to develop objectives and recommended action plans to coordinate project deliverables for Biscuit business initiatives.
  • Requires technical regulatory skills for managing the increased complexities of labeling which includes executional work reviewing and approving ingredients, creation of NA labeling information , review and approval of artwork and promotional content for Biscuit.
  • Require growth in handling and assessing complexity and naturally and intuitively navigating technical solutions to allow the business to function optimally.
  • This candidate will be expected to be involved in and make contributions to NA SARA initiatives, actively participating in the community.

  • Requires technical regulatory skills needed for managing the increased complexities of labeling across borders as well as across complex global supply networks.
  • Technical regulatory skills for managing the increased complexities of formula compliance and labeling across North America.

  • Provides regulatory expertise and guidance to enable the development, manufacture and sale of our products in North America in line with local laws.

Education / Certifications:
