The Sr. Salesforce Engineer is responsible for designing and developing solutions on the Salesforce platform for various business initiatives. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of Salesforce applications, providing thought leadership, troubleshooting production issues, and advocating for efficiency and continual improvement as we modernize our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and estimate effort for new scope and requirements.
  2. Design and develop on the Salesforce platform for complex initiatives, ensuring operational stability.
  3. Stay updated on modern technologies and best practices; recommend new technologies and processes.
  4. Act as the Subject Matter Expert and manage administrative functions for Salesforce.
  5. Support business teams in the proper use of Salesforce, focusing on configuration over customization.
  6. Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes using internal defect tracking tools.
  7. Collaborate with product owners and test engineers to support QA processes, review test plans, and enhance test automation.

Required Skills and Experience:

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience with Salesforce and 10+ years in enterprise systems.
  2. Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  3. Proficiency with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Integration Patterns.
  4. Experience integrating Salesforce with other cloud systems using REST, SOAP, Talend, Informatica, Mulesoft.
  5. Familiarity with deployment processes and release pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket/Git).
  6. Knowledge of packaged deployments, Metadata API, and Ant.
  7. At least 1 year of experience with Salesforce Lightning Components and Aura Framework.
  8. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  9. At least 2 Salesforce certifications (to be validated before joining).
  10. Experience with Financial Services Cloud and Salesforce DX is a plus.
  11. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  12. Experience with agile methodologies like SCRUM/Kanban.
