The Sr. Salesforce Engineer is responsible for designing and developing on the Salesforce platform for complex business and technology initiatives across various lines of business. The role includes managing day-to-day operations of Salesforce applications, providing thought leadership, resolving production issues, and advocating for efficiency and continuous improvement as part of our modernization efforts.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing and estimating effort for new scope and requirements.
- Designing and developing on the Salesforce platform for multiple complex initiatives, ensuring operational stability.
- Staying updated on modern technologies and best practices, and recommending new technologies and processes.
- Acting as the Subject Matter Expert and managing admin functions for Salesforce.
- Supporting business teams in proper Salesforce use, focusing on configuration over customization.
- Investigating failures, performing root cause analysis, and implementing fixes, utilizing internal defect tracking tools.
- Collaborating with product owners and test engineers to support QA, review test plans, and improve test automation.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Salesforce platform and 10+ years in enterprise systems.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Proficiency with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Integration Patterns.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with other cloud applications via REST, SOAP API, Talend, Informatica, Mulesoft.
- Familiarity with deployment processes and release pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket/Git).
- Understanding of packaged deployments, Metadata API, and Ant.
- At least 1 year experience with Lightning Components and Aura Framework.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- At least 2 Salesforce certifications (to be validated upon hiring).
- Experience with Financial Services Cloud and Salesforce DX preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience with agile methodologies like SCRUM/Kanban.
