  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset.

What can you expect from the role?

  • Accepting notice of claim and working with the customer and preferred Vendors to resolve the claim quickly and efficiently
  • Confirming policy coverage by ensuring the facts of the claim fall within the scope of the policy
  • Maintaining detailed file records by entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems
  • Processing claims payments within level of authority after verifying claimant's entitlement
  • Initiating salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned files

What you bring to the role?

  • University degree in any discipline or a college diploma in one of the following programs : 2-year diploma from a provincially recognized and funded community college in Insurance, Law & Security, Loss Control, Business Administration or the CIP designation
  • 5-8 years property experience
  • Licensed in New Brunswick, PEI and Newfoundland would be an asset
  • Experience of Commercial Lines policies would be an asset
  • Familiarity with CICS and CDS system
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Bilingual capabilities (French and English) would be an asset
  • Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers
  • Able to perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure
  • Team player adaptable to a changing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
