Job summary

A leading insurance company in Canada seeks a Claims Adjuster for the Quebec Region. In this role, you will investigate and adjust claims, ensuring detailed processing and providing coaching to team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in claims leadership and be bilingual in English and French.

Reporting to the team leader, Liability, Quebec Region, you will be accountable for investigating and adjusting Bodily Injury and Physical Damage claims. You will handle Personal and Commercial Property claims. You must have a valid Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) license.

What can you expect in this role?
•Confirm coverage on policy.
•Investigate liability claims to identify fault and establish settlements.
•Ensure detailed processing of complex files in a claims system.
•Participate in mediation, pre-trials, and settlement initiatives.
•Handle claims directly with claimants or their legal representatives.
•Provide coaching and technical support on file handling to team members.
•Offer coaching and feedback to team members.


What do you bring to the role?
•University degree, college diploma, or CIP designation.
•A Claims Adjustment license from AMF to practice in Quebec, both in personal and commercial lines.
•A minimum of 5 years claims leadership experience.
•2+ years of experience with Casualty, Bodily Injury (BI), and/or Physical Damage (PD) claims.
•Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions with all stakeholders.
•Bilingual (English and French).
•Perform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressure.
•Team player adaptable to a changing environment.
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

High degree of proficiency with English and French required to service customers, both internal to the company and external, across Canada.


Salary Range: $58,100 - $106,900
