Job description

Our client is currently looking for a Sr. Project Manager with experience in general contracting on institutional projects.

With over 60 years in the construction industry, our client is a full-service general contractor. They deliver large, medium, and small projects in a variety of sectors including Healthcare, Social Housing, First Nations, K-12, Post-Secondary Education, Institutional and Commercial.

YOUR QUALITIES INCLUDE:
  1. Minimum 8-10 years’ experience as a project manager in the construction of industrial, commercial, residential and institutional projects.
  2. Proven multi-tasking skills combined with a track record of managing multiple projects while ensuring the delivery of the projects on time and budget.
  3. Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and expedite resolutions to challenges during all phases of construction.
  4. Strong Project Management and Cost Control skills.
  5. Motivated, energetic, self-starter and enthusiastic.
  6. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with excellent time management, problem solving, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
  7. Excellent contract document interpretation and blueprint reading skills.
  8. Strong leadership and team building skills with the ability to work with owners, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
  9. Willing to travel if required.
  10. Understanding of commercial construction practices, processes and techniques.
  11. Computer Knowledge and work experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Project.
  12. Jonas Premier, AutoDesk Build or similar construction software experience is an asset.
  13. College or technical degree in Construction related disciplines or equivalent related experience would be an asset.
