Sr Project Manager

Reporting to the Senior Manager, PMO Complex Solution within the Rogers Business Service Delivery organization, the Senior Project Manager will occupy a critical position responsible for the overall successful execution of projects for Rogers Business customers. The Senior Project Manager will work with internal stakeholders as well as external vendor partners throughout the project lifecycle. This position involves direct contact with clients.

What you'll do :

  • Accountable for the planning and successful delivery of large, complex, cross functional projects on-time, within scope and budget.
  • Overall management of the relationship with the end client throughout the entire project lifecycle, acting as the main point of contact between them and Rogers Business’ vendor partners.
  • Coordinates internal resources and third parties / vendors for the flawless execution of the project.
  • Management of the contractual relationship between the client and Rogers Business vendor Partners.
  • Manage vendor resource planning and address resources performance issues.
  • Establish the processes to support delivery operational excellence, including project initiation in the delivery system, defining the project calendar and work breakdown structure, and defining deliverable acceptance and reporting procedures.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation tracking of all tasks, dependencies and deliverables.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks and produce program reports for Senior Management and stakeholders.
  • Sets and continually manages project expectations while appropriately delegating and managing deliverables.
  • Define in advance the acceptance criteria for each project deliverable and oversee the review of client deliverables to ensure they meet all client acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure the services delivered by the vendor conform to what has been contractually agreed to and monitoring the delivery of said services against the agreed schedule, quality, scope and budget.
  • Closely manages all changes to project scope, schedule and cost.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the contract.
  • Review and approve consultant and partner billable hours and expenses each week.
  • Act as the escalation point when issues arise with vendor’s resources / services.
  • Track and report the performance of the engagement and the quality of project deliverables.
  • Develop strong, positive cross organization relationships with internal groups and external partners.
  • Works creatively, collaboratively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.

What you'll bring :

  • 10+ years of project management experience delivering large, complex projects, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
  • Expert knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership skills.
  • Solid conflict resolution, risk management and time management skills.
  • Experience managing large scale projects and programs.
  • Outcome oriented.
  • Extraordinary organizational savvy with exceptional partnering skills.
  • Proven change leader.
  • Knowledgeable of industry and related trends.
  • Entrepreneurial, highly motivated and adaptable.
  • Exceptional ability to persuade, convince, negotiate with influence.
  • PMP certification is required.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance for Federal, provincial and municipal governments.
  • Good understanding of governance model and quality control mechanism.

Technical Project Experience :

  • Cloud Call Center applications.
  • Voice Services – SIP, Unified communications, Microsoft Teams services & offerings.
  • Wireless technology.
  • Wireline technology.
  • LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewall, Infrastructure, MPLS.
  • Wi-Fi (WaaS).
  • IoT.
  • IT knowledge - configuration management, software development, test cases coordination for Client UAT.
