The Role

Based near our largest Department of Defense Customer in Columbia, MD, you will join an engineering team responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and maintaining our government client's Electrical SCADA Systems that monitor and control electrical power across their campus and enterprise sites worldwide.

Your Impact
  • Lead complex and critical projects.
  • Evaluate project blueprints, electrical one-lines, and control schematics.
  • Design, program, and implement SCADA system databases and displays, adhering to customer standards and contract specifications.
  • Apply industry knowledge to solve complex design and application problems, delivering high-quality customer solutions.
  • Program field equipment (Smart Meters, Data Concentrators, RTUs, IEDs, etc.) and troubleshoot SCADA communication issues.
  • Support SCADA Point-to-Point and commissioning events, maintaining detailed records of testing, issues, and resolutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and contractors, educating them about our services.
  • Define work plans for moderately complex projects and execute action plans.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge in specific areas to improve efficiency and deliver high-quality results.
What You'll Need
  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of project engineering experience, preferably in a related industry.
  • Strong technical expertise in electric power systems design, utility operations, real-time control systems, or client/server applications.
  • Ability to obtain a Government Clearance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong commitment to providing superior customer service.
  • Active Top Secret Government Clearance.
  • Experience with ICS/SCADA protocols, system design, network communications, UNIX/Linux/Windows OS, C/C++ is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally at different organizational levels.
