Job Description

Ivans, a division of Applied Systems, is currently seeking a Senior Product Manager to help build new & innovative solutions for insurance carriers leveraging AI-powered automation to improve user workflows.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. The ideal candidate will possess a strong product sense and the capacity to translate customer discovery into actionable product strategy and feature roadmap. You’ll also act as a cross-functional leader between engineering, data science, design, research, and marketing teams to deliver innovative solutions to our customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Define the vision and roadmap for a feature area or a product.
  • Provide data-driven insights on product performance and identify areas for improvement, demonstrating analytical skills and strategic thinking.
  • Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking to identify customer needs or product gaps.
  • Perform user research and testing to understand needs and pain points.
  • Employ advanced techniques to explore user needs and deepen customer understanding.
  • Define product requirements and specifications for features or feature areas.
  • Lead the development and execution of product strategies for features or areas.
  • Translate insights into recommendations for feature enhancements.
  • Ensure feature delivery creates a connected customer journey.
  • Perform other duties related to product innovation as assigned.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has built products from 0-1 before.
  • Has 5–7 years of experience in Product Management or Software Engineering.
  • Understands product management principles.
  • Has experience writing user stories and defining requirements for data and APIs.
  • Possesses strong communication skills, including storytelling and articulating data value.
  • Can work with minimal supervision, managing priorities across teams.
  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Supports and encourages applicants with military experience and spouses.

Additionally, it’s a plus if you have:

  • Understanding of commercial insurance data (policy, claims, underwriting).
  • Experience working with Data Engineering and Data Science teams on AI-driven products.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
