Are you passionate about innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, generative AI, and ambient computing? The Amazon Alexa International team in Toronto is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the expansion of Alexa+ in Canada. This is your opportunity to work on products that are making history!
As a Senior Product Manager, you will have a wide set of responsibilities to ensure our customers are delighted, including launching new Alexa‑powered devices and experiences and making Alexa continuously smarter. This role is equal parts business strategy, product definition, and program delivery. You will need to thrive and deliver results in a highly ambiguous, fast‑paced, and dynamic business environment operating at all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will use a combination of analytical skills, cross‑functional understanding, business judgment, technical expertise, and strategic thinking to define the programs that improve Alexa CA Customer Experience.
You bring genuine technical curiosity, you stay current with advances in large language models, agentic AI, and conversational systems, and you translate that understanding into better product decisions.
You regularly engage directly with customers through beta programs and feedback channels to ground your intuition in real user needs.
You will work closely with many partners such as marketing, technical PMs, solution architects, engineering, content, business development, and legal to ensure customers have access to a world‑class Alexa experience in Canada.
The Alexa Canada team's mission is to deliver products and services that are delightful and locally relevant for Canadian customers. We operate within the broader Alexa International organization, scaling Alexa globally while advocating for the unique needs of customers in Canada. Our work spans product launches and feature expansion across both English and French, ensuring that every Canadian customer experiences Alexa as a trusted companion in their daily life.
You are responsible for customer experience with considerable complexity where problems, opportunity, and strategy may not be defined. You take the lead on initiatives and deliver independently. You influence strategic direction, customer adoption decisions, and organization priorities through well‑crafted written narratives and data‑backed recommendations that earn trust with senior leadership.
You champion exceptional customer experiences by defining requirements for Canadian customers and partnership with global stakeholders on roadmap development. You balance constraints—compliance, localization, and accessibility—with customer experience considerations. You establish direct customer feedback loops and regularly validate assumptions through qualitative and quantitative research. You monitor operational health after launch and work with teams to address issues with appropriate urgency.
You demonstrate curiosity and a desire to dive deep into the technical aspects of your product, particularly in AI/ML systems. You evaluate technical proposals for strengths and weaknesses, asking the right questions to identify risks and ensure appropriate trade‑offs are surfaced before commitments are made. You understand how AI, including agentic systems and large language models, is reshaping product development and apply this understanding to make better product decisions.
You proactively explore new AI capabilities, attend technical deep‑dives, and maintain enough technical fluency to be a credible partner to engineering. You use all means possible, including AI, to accelerate development cycles, make better decisions, and unlock new forms of innovation.
You demonstrate high skill at using data to drive decisions. You define success criteria, KPIs, and metrics distinguishing between output metrics such as adoption and outcome metrics such as customer satisfaction and business impact. You design experiments and analyze results with statistical rigor. You analyze usage data, performance metrics, customer behavior, and market trends to inform decisions and prioritize roadmap investments—going beyond surface‑level reporting to uncover causal relationships and actionable insights. You use AI capabilities to accelerate insight generation while applying critical judgment.
You collaborate with other product managers, sharing mental models for decision‑making, providing feedback on documents and strategies, and helping others grow their technical and strategic capabilities. You raise the bar for the PM community through knowledge sharing and thought leadership.
You communicate with precision and influence—crafting compelling written documents that drive alignment across teams and leadership levels. You tailor your communication to your audience, whether presenting to executives, aligning with engineering partners, or rallying cross‑functional teams around a shared vision.
