Role Overview

As the Sr. Procurement Specialist, you will support the quality and stability of the company’s goods and services supply. Leveraging industry best practices and sourcing methodologies, you will manage vendor relationships, ensure business continuity, and oversee contract management and global partnerships. Negotiation and cost management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage sourcing strategies, leveraging industry best practices and global partnerships
  • Implement sourcing and category management strategies
  • Coordinate program implementation, understanding operational needs
  • Manage RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, including compliance schedules and bid evaluations
  • Negotiate contracts, review supplier performance, and seek strategic partnerships to reduce dependency on single sources
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance tracking, and quality assurance
  • Build vendor relationships and develop cost-saving initiatives
  • Gather documentation from stakeholders and manage procurement documents
  • Analyze and improve sourcing strategies
  • Resolve issues proactively with vendors and internal teams
  • Ensure contract and procurement process compliance with legal and financial standards

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain, or 4+ years relevant experience
  • Understanding of Building Materials and Construction industries
  • Strong negotiation, cost analysis, data analysis, and reporting skills
  • Experience in fast-paced, matrix environments
  • Ability to work independently and adapt priorities
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects
  • Effective escalation and stakeholder communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, curiosity, and growth passion
  • Self-efficacy, initiative, and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with collaboration and influence skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience with SAP, Ariba, Coupa preferred
  • Availability for occasional travel
