This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

A healthier future. It’s what drives us to innovate. To continuously advance science and ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need today and for generations to come. Creating a world where we all have more time with the people we love. That’s what makes us Roche.

Healthcare is evolving, and Global Procurement is responding by continuously striving for the highest possible performance, taking innovative and strategic approaches to business and supplier partnerships. Global Procurement proactively manages the entire supplier ecosystem, making a vital contribution to improving health outcomes, reducing costs for patients and global healthcare systems, and ensuring that Roche continues doing now what patients need next.

The Opportunity

This role sits within the Customer Excellence group which is focused on enabling greater customer centricity in GP by gathering and sharing business insights and feedback, promoting procurement solutions and services and simplifying partnering with procurement for the business.

As the Sr. Procurement Partnering Manager, you will work in a dynamic global environment where you will meet the challenge to bring focus on day-to-day customer engagement to enable an excellent, end-to-end customer experience. You act as the primary contact for your respective business customer and, thanks to your deep understanding of procurement and the customer day-to-day procurement-related needs, you provide simple and seamless access for gRED to procurement, independent of the spend category.

You collaborate with customers, internal procurement (i.e. Chapters, networks and capability areas, e.g. core delivery, contracting, solutions, analytics, insights, etc.) and transactional/operations teams to align on needs and opportunity fulfilment or general service enhancements that improve the overall customer experience and realize value for the customer. You work closely with other team members as a gRED subject matter expert, project or workstream lead to develop strategies, measure and track performance, while also identifying and leveraging synergies across Roche.

You will play a variety of roles according to your experience, knowledge, and the general business/team requirements, including but not limited to these core responsibilities:

You act as a customer domain expert through your daily customer engagement, providing business insights and opportunities to the procurement organization, including the tactical/operations teams, to (i) maintain and/or improve the end-to-end procurement experience for gRED and (ii) proactively identify and develop opportunities where procurement can drive greater value realization for the business customer.

You are a strategy developer and value driver developing and driving operational and tactical business plans, including prioritization, customer buy-in for/sponsorship of applicable procurement services and solutions tailored to customer needs and aligned to overall customer and procurement strategies.

You are a procurement ambassador and customer partner, acting as the primary point of contact for specific customers, focused on simplifying and optimizing the customer experience across procurement, including identifying procurement opportunities, promoting solutions, and advocating for customer compliance (i.e., with policies, tools, processes) and adoption..

You will work with your team, broader capability area, networks, and squads/project teams to determine the various roles you can take to deliver or support both project and foundational work.

Your successful performance and contribution depend on the full embodiment and demonstration of core mindsets and behaviors, including curiosity, passion, an entrepreneurial spirit, enterprise thinking, inclusive collaboration, and desire for continuous learning that underpin our culture and ways of working.

Who you are:

You hold a university degree, with a business or life science degree preferable.

You have 7+ years with procurement (multi-category) or relevant sales or customer management leadership experience, ideally in a matrix organization

You have demonstrated experience in gRED’s core business

You have strong proven success in building and cultivating collaborative and productive relationships with senior stakeholders.

You have demonstrated project management skills

You strive to act as an enterprise thinker and leverage knowledge and expertise to create solutions for business customers by proactively fostering collaboration, including across the procurement network.

You are action oriented and can make decisions and influence others to do the same;

You demonstrate curiosity, active listening and a willingness to experiment and test new ideas when appropriate, with the focus very much on continuous learning and improvement.

You work with colleagues across procurement, business and the wider Roche organization to broaden knowledge and expertise, better understand customer needs, and connect the dots.

You are open-minded and inclusive, generously sharing ideas and knowledge, while being receptive to ideas and feedback from others.

You are fluent in English to business level

Join our team and lead the transformation of procurement through collaboration and strategic business partnering
