Compensation Details :
- Citizen Developer 17: Salaries typically range from $83,037 to $108,017 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.
or
- Citizen Developer 18: Salaries typically range from $94,664 to $126,219 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.
Salary level will be determined based on a candidate’s experience and qualifications.
Location:
- Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, currently requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week. (subject to change)
- This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard, Laval, or Halifax.

Team Overview:
- The Automation Team falls under the Insurance and Working Capital Solutions (IWCS) group. It enables EDC teams within IWCS to be more efficient and deliver greater value to Canadian exporters through centralized expertise in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and other automation tools such as excel modelling. Combining the ability to proactively identify process automation opportunities, assess anticipated value and readiness with the capability to implement in a timely manner customer-centric, technology-independent automation solutions that are easily adopted and can scale across the group.
- We are looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Process Automation Analyst dedicated to building Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and other automation tools to streamline operations and drive efficiency. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team and continue to help build our automation strategy.
What you will be doing:
- Drive process-based automation initiatives throughout IWCS.
- Work with the business to review their manual processes to determine best fit for automation or suggest other solutions.
- Design, build, document, and test robotic processes. Responsible for all aspects of the life cycle from development through to deprecation of the robotic processes.
- Estimate efficiencies anticipated through the automation solution; analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing automation solutions.
- Solve complex problems; take a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Facilitate effective communication between business and IT, ensuring investment decisions and business outcomes are optimized.
- Monitor error logs of robotic processes and resolve issues when they occur.
- User training for proper use of robotic solutions and ongoing support.
- Support citizen developers and ensure that corporate standards, best practices, and principles are applied.
What we are looking for:
- Completed an Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or in a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in automating processes, not necessarily with RPA software.
- At least one year of programming experience in almost any programming language.
- Strong problem solving & innovation.
- At least 1 year experience with UiPath.
What will make you stand out:
- Bilingual in both official languages (French and English).
- Advanced knowledge of change management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of finance or insurance industry.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Excel and other automation tools.
