Albin Engineering Services, Inc. (www.aesi.com) is looking for an Sr Principal Engineer System Architect - AI/ML. This position is 100% remote. As their employee, you qualify for their full benefit package.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Define Complex AI/ML infrastructure platform solutions and lead a multi-disciplined team to bring to implementation. Extensive and focused engagement through EVT, phasing out thereafter. Ensure overall design quality metrics are met.
2. Develop and maintain close technical relationships with suppliers/partners on product roadmaps and technologies.
3. Lead RFQ technical responses and platform concept development efforts as appropriate.
4. Provide effective trade-off analysis and competitive guidance to engineering teams and customers.
5. Deliverables include System Requirements Documents (SRD), requirement compliance assessments, and Technical proposals.
6. Act as a primary technical interface between us and our customers, particularly in technical escalation.
7. Provide technical support to business development teams to assist in the winning of new business.
8. Participate in the selection and hiring of design team resources as required.
9. Identify and Champion process improvement efforts as needed.
10. Participate in standards committees and industry groups as assigned.
11. Prepare and present technical presentations to customers, industry groups, tradeshows, etc.
12. Maintain current on industry trends and future technology and market opportunities.

Job Requirements:

1. 15+ years of Server and/or AI/ML accelerator hardware design experience.
2. 5 years of AI Infrastructure system design experience.
3. Experience with Nvidia, AMD, Intel, or other modern GPU accelerators and support systems.
4. Successful experience architecting and delivering server/storage/converged products to market.
5. Excellent Customer presentation skills. Interface and interact with large OEM customers on ongoing product related issues and new product design concepts.
6. A broad knowledge of current digital and analogue components.
7. Successful New Product Introduction (NPI) launch.
8. Extensive knowledge of system level power, cooling, mechanical, SW/FW and electrical design integration and engineering trade-offs.

Desired Skills:

1. Prior participation in industry groups and associations.
2. System level integration, interoperability and test experience.
3. System level manufacturing test experience.

Travel:

1. International travel required, approximately 4-6 trips per year.
2. Domestic travel to support customer and internal meetings as required.

Location: This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast.
