Job summary

PepsiCo in Atlantic Canada seeks a Senior People Business Partner to lead HR initiatives and provide strategic HR partnership to Field Sales leaders across Bedford and Dartmouth, NS. The role requires strong labour relations knowledge and the ability to collaborate across all organization levels.

The successful candidate will design talent strategies, support campus hiring, and guide Leaders on performance management and succession planning while ensuring compliance with provincial and federal

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Labour Relations, HR Management, Psychology, or related field.
  • 5+ years HR generalist and leadership experience.
  • Able to commute between Bedford & Dartmouth, NS; travel within Atlantic Canada as needed.
  • French language skills would be considered an asset (not required).

Responsibilities

  • Strategically lead and execute key HR initiatives that support PepsiCo’s vision.
  • Provide strategic HR partnership to Sales leaders.
  • Design and execute talent strategies, including campus hiring initiatives.
  • Partner with local teams to build relationships internally and externally.
  • Partner with leaders to build leadership capabilities.
  • Lead complex employee and labour relations matters with strategic counsel on workplace risk, investigations, and dispute resolution.
  • Coach leaders and frontline employees on policies, HR programs, and collective bargaining agreement administration.
  • Partner on performance management and talent pipelining.
  • Develop site-level strategies to improve organizational health and culture.

Responsibilities
  • Strategically lead and fully execute key HR initiatives that support PepsiCo’s vision
  • Provide strategic HR partnership to Sales leaders
  • Design and execute talent strategies, including supporting campus hiring initiatives
  • Partner with local teams to ensure ongoing outreach activities, including building key relationships internally and externally
  • Partner with leaders to build leadership capabilities
  • Lead complex employee and labour relations matters, providing strategic counsel to business leaders on workplace risk, collective agreement interpretation, investigations, dispute resolution, and employee advocacy while fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Coach and guide leaders and frontline employees regarding company policies, values, HR programs and collective bargaining agreement (benefits, pay and salary) administration and interpretation, to ensure policies and procedures are executed consistently across the operations
  • Partner with department leaders on performance management
  • Guide leaders through talent pipelining and succession planning
  • Partner with the business to develop and execute site level strategies to improve organizational health and culture
  • Understand the business and operate from both a strategic and tactical perspective
  • Ensure actions comply with all provincial and federal employment legislation
What will make you successful?
  • Seasoned HR professional with an understanding of the core aspects of Human Resource Management (employee/labour relations, staffing, performance management, leadership development, coaching and capability building)
  • Experience in a unionized environment, administering a collective agreement and facilitating the grievance process
  • Experience supporting front-line employees in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated agility and resilience in leading through transformation, ambiguity, and evolving business priorities
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing and partnering across highly matrixed organizations
  • Ability to think strategically and translate concepts into actionable items
  • Confident communicator with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Consultative style and approach with the ability to develop credible relationships
  • Ability to influence decision-makers and business partners
  • Courage to make tough decisions and deliver difficult messages with professionalism and poise
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
  • Solid expertise in developing solutions based upon facts/data analytics
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with focus in Industrial/Labour Relations, Human Resources Management, Psychology, or another related field preferred
  • 5+ years Human Resources generalist and leadership experience
  • Able to commute between Bedford & Dartmouth, NS as this role requires visible presence at both locations. Additionally, travel within Atlantic Canada as needed.
  • Understanding of labour standards, laws, and regulations
  • While not required, French language skills would be considered as an asset
