Sr. Packaging Quality Technician, Tim Hortons

Position Overview

Join our team as a Sr. Packaging Quality Technician at Tim Hortons, located at our Toronto Corporate Office. This full-time role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure packaging quality and compliance across production processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coordinate with the Tim Hortons Product Excellence Department to review and assess new products and concepts, ensuring packaging requirements are documented and met.
2. Participate in sample production and test market production runs to verify compliance with packaging specifications.
3. Communicate findings and ensure product compliance with requirements, reaching consensus with suppliers and internal teams.
4. Authorize the release of products from sample and test market production.
5. Conduct daily assessments and communicate results to relevant departments.
6. Assist in creating risk profiles and mitigation strategies for production facilities.
7. Audit production facilities across Ontario to ensure compliance with RBI QA standards and GMPs, preparing reports and corrective action plans.
8. Inspect products during various production stages to ensure adherence to specifications and standards, including sensory, physical, and analytical testing.
9. Provide training to laboratory personnel and offer feedback during inspections and audits.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree in Quality, Industrial Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Experience with physical inspections using standard test and measuring equipment.
• Proficiency in open setup inspections, vision systems, and statistical process control.
• Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Inspector and/or Certified Quality Engineer.
