About the role and team

As the Sr. Manager UX Research for Global Markets & C2C you will lead a team of senior researchers to help craft the future of one of the most important pillars of eBay's long-term growth plan. You will work side-by-side with leaders across the Global Markets & C2C teams including the Listing, Seller, Performance, Messaging and Local Experience teams to improve the end-to-end experience for eBay Sellers and to scale insights to create horizontal solutions across Buyer surfaces. Methods include: in-depth user interviews, in-lab and field studies, online surveys, diary studies, usability testing (moderated and unmoderated), remote testing, customer journey mapping, jobs-to-be-done, benchmarking, heuristic evaluations, and stakeholder interviews.
  • Cultivate and manage partnerships with cross-functional partners and company leadership (Design, Product Management, Marketing, Analytics, and various Business Units) as a user insights thought leader.
  • Establish and maintain an efficient strategy for scoping research, execution, and sharing insights to ensure velocity and visibility across internal partners.
  • Help drive the impact of insights generated by the team and elevate the User Research practice at eBay.
  • Define and lead initiatives that contribute to the maturity of the research practice.
  • Manage budget and maintain a healthy bench of external vendors for specific needs.
What you will bring

  • 5 years of experience in managing user research / product research teams.
  • 2 years of experience in managing research managers.
  • Experience with the Financial Services industry is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Strong communication skills, and an experienced influencer and advocate for user research.
