Role Overview:

The Senior Manager, Process & Planning, will oversee project governance for key initiatives within Transport Operations by documenting strategy milestones and developing process adherence. Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain Planning and Initiatives, this role collaborates across various workstreams within Transportation Operations.

What You’ll Do:
  1. Support project and process adherence for Transport Operations initiatives, contributing to strategic and operational goals.
  2. Manage timelines and execution of high-profile strategy projects supporting the Supply Chain business unit.
  3. Develop process maps and standard operating procedures.
  4. Lead analytics to measure the success of project milestones, managing an Analyst of Process & Planning.
  5. Identify technology and system requirements to support transport initiatives and lead their implementation.
  6. Prioritize and problem-solve to manage planned and unplanned issues, ensuring project completion.
  7. Lead projects through all lifecycle stages, creating plans, landmarks, and roadmaps.
  8. Organize and lead project meetings, maintaining accountability.
  9. Engage key partners with regular updates on project status, risks, and timelines.
  10. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget by leading workstreams and teams.
  11. Develop solutions for project challenges, involving sponsors as needed.
  12. Assess risks and mitigation strategies, collaborating with internal SMEs.
  13. Implement solutions and changes, including communication and training plans.
  14. Prepare presentation materials for internal and executive updates.
  15. Consolidate data for periodic reviews.
  16. Build strong relationships with project partners.
  17. Provide subject matter expertise in planning and prioritization.
  18. Cultivate a positive, collaborative, and transparent work environment.
  19. Work with project sponsors to develop and execute strategy.
  20. Ensure compliance with risk management and governance standards.
What You’ll Need:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Supply Chain, management consulting, or consumer goods preferred.
  • Post-secondary education is an asset.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and large group sessions.
  • Leadership skills to guide partners and teams independently.
  • Excellent project and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma; Design Thinking certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL & SAS; Python experience is an asset.
