A Day in the Life

Main Purpose of Job:
Plan, design, and execute marketing programs to preserve, develop, and grow defined Medtronic products. Collaborate with customers, field sales, and management to understand the market, competitive strategies, and product opportunities.

Guide the daily activities of the marketing and Medtronic Care teams, ensuring marketing objectives are met. Provide guidance and foster talent development.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business, which is being separated to promote growth and innovation. This separation aims to enable greater speed, agility, and innovation, with increased investments to enhance patient care.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop market requirements for specific products or product lines.
  • Lead and coordinate product planning, launches, management, market development, and research.
  • Engage with product managers to identify marketing opportunities.
  • Recommend actions, plan projects, estimate costs, and manage projects to completion.
  • Identify unmet customer needs and new business opportunities, guiding products from idea to market.
  • Coordinate marketing activities across regions to increase teamwork and partnerships.
  • Manage trade shows, website development, e-commerce strategies, and marketing campaigns.
  • Report complaints and adverse reactions.
  • Lead marketing planning, process improvements, and ensure successful execution within budget and timelines.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain marketing talent through coaching and performance management.
  • Lead annual and strategic marketing planning and quarterly reviews.
  • Lead market research and analysis to identify opportunities, monitor competition, and adjust strategies.
  • Establish metrics and track performance.
  • Implement remote sales models and digital marketing strategies to support growth.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage portfolio responsibilities such as pricing, promotion, demand planning, and product launches.
  • Build strong relationships with global and regional marketing leaders.
  • Coordinate with other departments to maximize synergies.
  • Perform additional activities as needed to manage the portfolio.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge/Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher.

Job Experience

At least 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years in management, or 5 years with an advanced degree. Proven experience in medical device marketing, market research, sales, or advertising.
