A Day in the Life

Are you a creative, forward-thinking professional looking to make a real impact in Canadian healthcare? Medtronic Canada is seeking a Senior Manager, Healthcare Service / Solution Consulting to lead the design and deployment of consulting services, digital health solutions, and data-driven strategies that accelerate access, build capacity, and find efficiencies to transform patient care. In this role, you’ll collaborate with industry leaders, challenge conventional approaches, and deliver innovative solutions to some of Canada’s most pressing healthcare challenges.

Responsibilities may include the following, and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide Healthcare Service / Solution Consultancy, oversee consulting projects involving strategy development, organizational restructuring, and management to maximize efficiencies.
  • Work with senior management to determine long-term goals by analyzing the client’s business and recommending changes and improvements.
Main Purpose of Job
  • Lead a team of consultants, optimize operations, improve patient access and operational capacity, and deliver sustained performance outcomes.
  • Partner with clients to co-design, implement, and sustain strategic initiatives through:

o Clinical operational service delivery reviews and redesign

o Health services planning and workforce optimization

o Clinical process redesign across the care continuum

o Data analytics and targeted optimization/modeling for health system planning and operations improvement, utilizing Lean and Six Sigma approaches, and other transformational activities to drive quality improvement, financial savings, and operational excellence

  • Manage healthcare consulting projects involving strategy development and organizational restructuring to maximize efficiencies and outcomes.
  • Work with senior leaders to analyze the client’s business and recommend improvements.
  • Use change management techniques to engage stakeholders and attain buy-in.
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members to promote knowledge transfer and shared learning.
  • Generate clear proof points of the program’s value.
  • Report complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR).

    This role involves managing professionals with one or more employees, focusing on tactical, operational, and strategic activities within a specific area. Responsibilities include mentoring, performance management, talent development, and leading departmental initiatives.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Degree in nursing, healthcare, medicine, engineering, or business.
    • Strong knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system and project management certification.

    • Strong project management, analytical skills, and knowledge of health IT systems.
