Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and creative communications professional to help grow and protect Canada's most-loved brand through impactful public relations and brand communications. The successful candidate will generate positive media coverage, engage social media influencers organically, and manage issues effectively, including risk mitigation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic plans to generate media coverage, influencer engagement, and build brand love aligned with marketing and business priorities.
  • Draft press releases, media pitches, plan PR events, and coordinate with leadership for strategy and execution.
  • Manage external PR agency relationships, ensuring value and adherence to budget.
  • Monitor news for PR opportunities and issues, track media and influencer engagement metrics.
  • Respond swiftly to crises, assess risks, and draft reactive media responses.
  • Build cross-functional relationships to stay informed on business activities and provide communication support.
  • Maintain and update the brand’s LinkedIn and Newsroom website.
  • Create multimedia assets like presentations, graphics, and videos, collaborating with internal and external teams.
  • Support internal communications, including content development for leadership, town halls, and events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or related field/experience, or college diploma in Public Relations.
  • 5+ years of experience in brand communications, media strategies, press releases, media events, campaigns, and crisis communications.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments managing multiple priorities.
  • Resourceful team player with ownership mindset and service orientation.
  • Proven ability to build trust with senior executives and craft resonant communications for diverse audiences.
