Sr. Infrastructure Engineer - Infrastructure Components

Position Title: Sr. Infrastructure Engineer

Duration: 6 months

Remote/Hybrid: Every Tuesday and 2nd Friday

Office Location: 81 Bay 14th Floor

Best vs Average Candidate: Infrastructure components – networking, security, experience with Azure will be an asset – Azure Active Directory, SQL databases, vulnerability management experience, experience with Dynatrace.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze infrastructure requirements for applications, deployments, and availability.
2. Design and document infrastructure architectures using diagrams. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, requirements, and quality assurance.
3. Implementation and support of technologies in serverless print technologies and troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure problems.
4. Ensure infrastructure scalability, security, and reliability.
5. Strong technical knowledge and subject matter expertise in enterprise infrastructure components: security, network, firewalls, Windows Server OS, Azure Active Directory, DigiCert, SQL Database, Operating Systems, Network, 802.1x, Microsoft Azure, hardware technology.
6. Verify security protocols and implement measures to prevent security breaches.
7. Provide in-depth subject matter expertise to perform broad impact analysis, present alternative solutions, and make recommendations for complex initiatives and projects.
8. Automate tasks such as deployments, configuration management, and system updates. Develop and implement automation strategies using tools like PowerShell and other scripting languages.
9. Utilize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles to manage infrastructure as code.
10. Monitor, harden, and police infrastructure performance and identify potential issues; knowledge of Dynatrace is essential.
11. Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and integrations.
12. Vendor management to meet and manage service expectations, aligned to best practices.
13. Manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities; effective judgment in prioritizing and time allocation.
14. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, making recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
15. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions that meet business needs and align with industry best practices.
16. Utilize decision-making and critical thinking skills when solving problems.
17. Produce a variety of business documents that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought, and orderliness of presentation.
18. Communicate effectively with others verbally, recognizing that verbal communication includes tone, style, and structure.

Must Have Requirements:

1. Experience with Infrastructure management – 10 years
2. Windows Server Management – 10 years
3. SQL and Sysadmin experience – 5 years
4. Network Security Components - 802.1x and certificate management – 5 years
5. Experience with Dynatrace – 2+ years
6. Vulnerability management experience – 5 years
